I had the distinct privilege of being an honoree of the Godfrey R. Williams Foundation’s 1st Rising Voices event, held on July 1st, 2022, which highlights and celebrates emerging leaders, activists and entrepreneurs making an impact in the Grand Bahamian community.
The feeling of honor is doubly compounded because of Bishop Williams’ legacy as a well-respected and renowned leader, pioneer and trailblazer in our nation, not only in the body of Christ but also in the community as a notable philanthropist. I was deeply humbled and thankful to the foundation for the privilege to be awarded, and it reinforced my desire to continue to be an agent of change in our nation and world.
